L'un des rares livres récents en francais sur la philosophie de la perception. Le thème central est la perception auditive, mais de nombreux problèmes qui concernent la perception en général sont discutés (les qualités secondes, l'expérience et l'espace, etc.)

Une très bonne introduction à la philosophie de la perception, en particulier ses aspects épistémologiques. Malheureusement assez difficile à se procurer.

Une très bonne anthologie d'essais récents sur la perception.
Dancy, J. (éd.) (1988), Perceptual
Knowledge, Oxford University Press.
Une très bonne anthologie qui comprend des articles qui ont joué un rôle important dans les débats récents (Dretske, Lewis, Jackson, Armstrong, Snowdon, etc.).

L'ouvrage comporte deux chapitres sur la perception. Bonne introduction très claire mais portant surtout sur les aspects épistémologique du débat sur la perception.

Introduit la distinction entre voir simple et voir épistémique. Une très bonne discussion des rapports entre perception et cognition.

L'auteur défend une théorie représentationnelle de l'expérience sensorielle.
Jackson, F. (1977), Perception,

Une très bonne introduction à la philosophie de la perception, mais pas facile à trouver.

Les chapitres I et II portent sur le contenu de l'expérience perceptive. L'auteur défend l'idée d'une distinction entre propriétés représentationnelles et propriétés sensationnelles.

Une bonne discussion des modalités sensorielles et de leurs rapports.

Un des grands classiques de la théorie des sense-data.

On trouvera une présentation très claire des principaux aspects du débat contemporain sur la perception et une analyse détaillée des principaux arguments. Egalement, une bonne présentation de l'arrière-plan historique du débat. L'auteur défend également une version de la théorie des sense-data, ce qui est peu courant aujourd'hui.

Une anthologie plus ancienne pour ceux qui s'intéressent aux débats sur les sense-data, avec également une section consacrée au phénoménisme et à la théorie causale de la perception.

problems of consciousness, MIT Press.
Le thème de l'ouvrage est la conscience phénoménale, la discussion du problème des qualia y occupe une place importante. L'auteur défend une théorie représentationnelle de l'expérience perceptive. (voir notamment chapitres 4, 5, 6 ), assez proche de celle de Dretske.
